Submission Guidelines
Manuscripts
Ecological and Environmental Anthropology
publishes articles and reviews by scholars in diverse
fields such as anthropology, ecology, and geography,
as well as practitioners who specialize in conservation,
health, and other socio-natural issues. We ask authors
to submit relevant articles 5-20 pages in length (1250-5000
words) in AAA format to the editor at eea@uga.edu
as double-spaced Microsoft Word or WordPerfect documents
saved in Rich Text Format (RTF). Figures, tables, and
graphics should not be inserted into the document, but
instead sent as separate files with their preferred
placement noted in the text. Tables and graphs created
in Microsoft Excel may be submitted as separate documents.
Pictures and graphics should be sent as TIFFs, GIFs,
or JPEGs, and the file’s name should correspond
with its reference in the text. All graphics should
be saved at a resolution of at least 300 dpi or greater.
We require written permission to reproduce graphics
or tables from other sources. If files cannot be sent
electronically, they may be burned onto a CD and mailed
to the journal’s office. Please note that CDs
cannot be returned.
Authors and reviewers are responsible
for the content of their writings and for the legality
of their submissions due to agreements with other publishers.
We prefer to review unpublished work, but will consider
republication, especially if changes have been made
or other types of media, such as audio clips, videos,
or photographs, have been added. We ask to be notified
at the time of submission of previous, pending, or possible
publication elsewhere of the article submitted to us.
Cover Page, Abstracts, and Review
Process
Include the names, titles, and addresses
of all authors on a single cover page. When there is
more than one author, include a single postal and e-mail
address for all correspondence. The cover page should
also include the title of the manuscript, the date of
submission, five to six keywords, and an abstract of
no more than 300 words. Additionally, we also ask our
authors to provide the names of one to three people
that they think will be willing and able to provide
a well-educated review of the submitted manuscript.
